Alyssa Poe, a native Oklahoman, grew up in Shawnee. She attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 2015. After working as a process engineer for a few years, Alyssa discovered a passion for advocating for those with limited bargaining power, which compelled her to pursue a legal career.
Alyssa earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2021. While in law school, she was a member of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal, where she served as Article’s Editor. Alyssa also represented OU in the American Bar Association’s Negotiation Competition.
In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and exploring historical sites.
